Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- previous experience in housekeeping and laundry
- desire to work with seniors
- ability to understand and follow safety protocols and community procedures
- acceptable physical condition to perform cleaning and laundry tasks
- willingness to participate in required training and compliance
- as applicable, understanding and signing the Driver job description for those who drive Sunrise vehicles
- successful completion of pre-employment drug test excluding marijuana
- completion of required health screenings including tuberculosis test and physical evaluation
- compliance with Covid-19 and influenza vaccination mandates where required by law

- strong written and verbal communication skills

- able to perform duties amid frequent interruptions
Job Duties
- perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas
- clean according to schedule in assigned areas including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing fixtures
- knock on resident and restroom doors to respect privacy before entering
- maintain and transport equipment and supplies including linens and trash
- collect, wash, dry, fold, and inspect linens according to approved procedures
- assist care managers and department coordinators with resident care when requested
- practice positive resident relations and document resident feedback
- ensure safety and risk management compliance including proper chemical storage and equipment maintenance
- participate in team meetings, training, and engagement initiatives
- maintain infection control and safety procedures
- perform other duties as assigned
