Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work full-time hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical capacity to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Reliable and punctual with good attendance
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Good communication skills in English

- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
- General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- Ability to retain orders up to four at one time
- Strong organization and time management skills

Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for both the community and individual resident apartments including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments
- Clean and defrost refrigerators in resident apartments as needed, check heat system filters, change bed linens, ensure adequate linen supplies, turn mattresses with assistance, and empty waste baskets
- Perform deep cleaning of apartments with special attention to carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
- Launder all linens by washing and drying in the laundry facilities provided
- Follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- Greet residents and guests with a smile while serving beverages, cereals, and/or soups or salads from the cart
- Review menus courteously and clearly, take resident orders, and serve meals and desserts
- Return cart to kitchen and assist with storage of perishable items, and deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
- Bus and clear dishes from tables after meals, reset tables following proper sanitizing procedures, and vacuum carpets
- Complete side work such as filling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, and cleaning coffeemaker
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
