Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
- Desire to work with senior residents
- Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Ability to work semi-independently and manage time efficiently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy
- Compliance with required drug testing and health screenings
- As applicable, ability to review and understand driver job description and safety requirements if operating community vehicles
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services that meet or exceed quality standards
- Desire to work with seniors
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work semi-independently
- Demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Competent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain compliance with training and safety standards
- Experience working in senior living or healthcare environments is a plus
Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding Sunrise’s quality standards
- Perform scheduled cleaning duties including sweeping, dusting, mopping floors
- clean and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- dust and clean furniture and glass surfaces
- Knock on resident and restroom doors before entering and respect privacy
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate storage and collection areas
- Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a clean and sanitary manner
- Collect, clean, sort, wash, dry, fold, and redistribute community laundry following approved procedures
- Inspect linens for wear and report damaged items
- Assist Care Managers and respond to resident requests respectfully
- Review and notate Daily Logs for resident changes
- Ensure safe storage and handling of cleaning chemicals
- Maintain compliance with fire codes and occupational health and safety requirements
- Participate in team meetings and training
- Adhere to infection control policies and safety procedures including PPE and Lockout Tagout
- Contribute to team success through engagement activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
