Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months relevant work experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Ability to partner across teams and with all levels of staff
- Ability to work weekends and after hours
- Preferred experience in commercial, institutional, or industrial housekeeping
- Must be able to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
- Ability to use personal protective equipment as required

Job Duties
- Maintain a positive attitude and good communication skills

- Provide friendly and helpful interactions with guests
- Project a professional image while in uniform and respond promptly to radio calls
- Provide information and directions related to the Zoo’s mission, rules, and events
- Report questions, concerns, and supply needs proactively to supervisors
- Complete repetitive cleaning tasks while maintaining high quality
- Work independently with limited supervision
- Sanitize restrooms including sinks, mirrors, floors, walls and replenish supplies
- Keep staff offices orderly through general cleaning tasks
- Perform dusting, trash and recycling emptying
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum various areas
- Remove trash and litter from public spaces
- Follow personal protective equipment protocols when handling chemicals
- Inspect supplies and adhere to safety policies protecting animals, guests, and staff
- Complete daily job duty checklists
- Support special events and work weekends or after-hours as needed
