Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services preferred
- Ability to safely use chemical cleaning products and understand SDS guidelines
- Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for long periods
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Pass background checks and health screenings as required by DHS 83 and DHS 89
- Willingness to obtain CBRF/RCAC certifications if needed
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services preferred, especially in healthcare or assisted living
- Ability to safely use and understand chemical cleaning products and SDS
- Able to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for long periods
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Must pass background checks and health screenings required by DHS 83 and DHS 89
- Must have or be willing to obtain CBRF/RCAC certifications as needed
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
Job Duties
- Perform deep cleaning of resident and tenant apartments and rooms
- Vacuum or shampoo carpets
- Mop and sweep floors
- Dust furniture and surfaces
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, and sinks
- Remove garbage and clutter
- Clean and disinfect common areas including lobbies, dining rooms, hallways, restrooms, and activity spaces
- Launder and maintain community linens as needed
- Follow all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and sanitation standards
- Use chemicals and cleaning supplies properly in accordance with manufacturer instructions and SDS
- Wear appropriate PPE when handling chemicals or cleaning high-risk areas
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor
- Clean respectfully and efficiently in occupied resident/tenant spaces
- Ensure privacy, dignity, and comfort are maintained
- Communicate clearly and courteously with residents, families, and team members
- Support a clean and welcoming environment that promotes resident health, safety, and satisfaction
- Participate in ongoing training and mandatory staff meetings
- Assist with seasonal or project-based cleaning such as window washing and deep cleaning of high-traffic areas
- Assist with cleaning during move-ins and move-outs
- Support infection control during illness outbreaks or special sanitation needs
- Perform other related housekeeping duties as assigned
- Promote a healthy approach by communicating, interacting, and working cooperatively to meet resident needs
- Follow proper protocol during emergency situations
- Support a dignified, respectful, and caring atmosphere with residents, families, visitors, and employees
