Job Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain any necessary active and unencumbered certifications, degrees, or licenses required by state or position
  • Must be a supportive team member and contribute to teamwork
  • Must have the ability to make independent decisions when warranted
  • Must be able to deal tactfully with customers, personnel, visitors, and government agencies
  • Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety of others
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write English understandably
  • Must cope with mental and emotional stress of the position
  • Must function independently with flexibility and personal integrity
  • Must meet health requirements including medical and physical examination if required
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, or lift at least 50 pounds to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight for 50 feet

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a cleaner or in a similar role
  • Ability to use various cleaning equipment such as vacuums and chemicals
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Physically fit to stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work schedule as assigned
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in offices, hallways, and common areas
  • Empty trash cans and replace liners
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, walls, and ledges
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, breakrooms, countertops, and high-touch surfaces
  • Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other hygiene supplies
  • Wash interior windows and glass surfaces
  • Identify and report deficiencies, damages, or needed repairs to management
  • Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and chemical handling procedures
