Job Requirements
- Must possess and maintain any necessary active and unencumbered certifications, degrees, or licenses required by state or position
- Must be a supportive team member and contribute to teamwork
- Must have the ability to make independent decisions when warranted
- Must be able to deal tactfully with customers, personnel, visitors, and government agencies
- Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety of others
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Must be able to read, speak, and write English understandably
- Must cope with mental and emotional stress of the position
- Must function independently with flexibility and personal integrity
- Must meet health requirements including medical and physical examination if required
- Must be able to push, pull, move, or lift at least 50 pounds to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight for 50 feet
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cleaner or in a similar role
- Ability to use various cleaning equipment such as vacuums and chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physically fit to stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills
- Able to work schedule as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in offices, hallways, and common areas
- Empty trash cans and replace liners
- Dust furniture, fixtures, walls, and ledges
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, breakrooms, countertops, and high-touch surfaces
- Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other hygiene supplies
- Wash interior windows and glass surfaces
- Identify and report deficiencies, damages, or needed repairs to management
- Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and chemical handling procedures
