Job Requirements

  • Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Hold American citizenship or possess a Green Card
  • Be able to work a minimum of 12 hours daily for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
  • Meet moderate physical demands such as lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Pass a federal pre-employment drug test including marijuana and controlled substances
  • Abstain from alcohol consumption during employment
  • Comply with grooming standards limiting visible tattoos and piercings
  • Participate in all mandatory safety and emergency training
  • Accept temporary employment for the duration of the 28-week shipboard period

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
  • Willingness to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test including for marijuana and other controlled substances
  • Ability to abstain from alcohol consumption during employment
  • Ability to take part in emergency and safety training
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not required

Job Duties

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests
  • Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
  • Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines’ service standards
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
  • Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
  • Collecting and disposing of trash
  • Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • Creating genuine relationships with our guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
  • Performing other functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events including afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
