Job Requirements
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Hold American citizenship or possess a Green Card
- Be able to work a minimum of 12 hours daily for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- Meet moderate physical demands such as lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Pass a federal pre-employment drug test including marijuana and controlled substances
- Abstain from alcohol consumption during employment
- Comply with grooming standards limiting visible tattoos and piercings
- Participate in all mandatory safety and emergency training
- Accept temporary employment for the duration of the 28-week shipboard period
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
- Willingness to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test including for marijuana and other controlled substances
- Ability to abstain from alcohol consumption during employment
- Ability to take part in emergency and safety training
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not required
Job Duties
- Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests
- Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines’ service standards
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
- Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- Creating genuine relationships with our guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
- Performing other functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events including afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
