Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or hospitality experience a plus
- strong attention to detail
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- ability to respond promptly to guest needs
- physical stamina and endurance
- valid work authorization
- ability to pass safety and security clearances
Job Qualifications
- must be at least eighteen years of age
- must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- able to pass pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances
- able to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- able to work as a temporary employee onboard for up to 28 weeks
- able to maintain a positive attitude and work well under pressure
- willing to abstain from alcohol consumption while onboard
Job Duties
- responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
- prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- acknowledging guests by name and kindly taking action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to company standards
- vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
- carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
- collecting and disposing of trash
- properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- creating genuine relationships with guests and catering to all housekeeping requests efficiently
- greeting guests upon embarkation and helping during special events such as afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
