Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is advantageous
- Must be able to work extended hours and flexible schedules
- Physical fitness to perform duties including lifting and prolonged standing
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must abide by company safety and grooming standards
- Must commitment to a temporary 28-week shipboard employment
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Willingness to comply with pre-employment drug testing requirements
- Adherence to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Commitment to providing safe and conscientious service
- Willingness to participate in essential emergency and safety training
Job Duties
- Creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
- Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- Acknowledging guests by name and responding kindly to all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to service standards
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
- Cleaning up spills carefully with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- Creating genuine relationships with guests and efficiently catering to housekeeping requests
- Assisting with additional functions such as greeting guests during embarkation and helping during special events including afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
