Job Requirements
- Able to work under pressure, maintain composure and utilize good judgment during emergency and stressful situations
- ability to lift 40 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
- ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
- ability to crawl in small and tight spaces
- ability to work in different environmental conditions such as heat, cold, wind, and rain
- ability to walk and climb stairs
- ability to stoop and bend
- extensive use of fingers for typing and visual use of the computer monitor
- ability to handle, grasp, and feel objects and equipment
- ability to reach with hands and arms
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- one or more years experience as a housekeeper or similar position
- knowledge and understanding of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
- skilled in operating select mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, leaf blowers, and pressure washers
- basic literacy and numeracy skills to understand cleaning and safety guidelines
- strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- ability to work under tight deadlines and use time effectively
- basic command of computer hardware and software
- effective written and verbal communication skills
- excellent attention to detail
- strong problem-solving skills
- ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as hallways, lobbies, and elevators
- remove litter, trash, and debris from all areas of the community
- empty trash receptacles, ashtrays, and waste baskets regularly, disposing of waste properly
- vacuum, sweep, polish, and mop floors
- straighten furniture in common areas as needed
- dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces to maintain a neat and tidy appearance
- polish and clean windows, glass doors, brass, mirrors, and similar surfaces
- clean and disinfect kitchen areas including countertops, sinks, and appliances
- restock supplies such as towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers
- sanitize all bathroom bowls, sinks, partitions, and urinals daily or as needed
- clean and organize clubhouse facilities including restrooms, shower stalls, fitness equipment, and storage rooms
- assist with setup, breakdown, and cleaning of meeting rooms for events
- maintain supply and PPE inventory and assist supervisor with ordering supplies
- assist with hurricane preparation before, during and after storms
- complete necessary checklists and work orders
- report equipment malfunctions and unsafe conditions to management
- maintain a safe and secure work environment
- ensure all safety precautions are followed and proper PPE usage while performing duties
- perform other duties as assigned
