Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- previous hospital or hotel housekeeping experience
- ability to follow cleaning instructions and safety guidelines
- willingness to undergo drug and/or alcohol testing
- compliance with drug-free workplace policy
- ability to attend mandatory safety and infection control training
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties
- reliable and punctual

Job Duties
- Cleans patients' rooms, nursing stations, family areas, and room/public areas in both administrative and inpatient buildings according to posted instructions and on call/substitute basis
- cleans administrative offices, cafeteria, restrooms, corridors, and conference rooms according to posted instructions and on call/substitute basis
- records completed jobs on work order form to ensure no tasks are omitted and supervisors can verify tasks
- maintains hard floors with appropriate cleaning methods
- mixes and dispenses cleaning solutions following posted instructions to avoid accidents with hazardous materials
- assists with cleaning patient rooms as needed
- immediately reports and documents spills according to hazardous material safety guidelines and OSHA regulations
- attends mandatory safety programs annually
- follows standard precautions for isolation terminal cleaning and maintains infection control standards
- attends mandatory infection control training annually
- reports inoperable, malfunctioning equipment, or unsafe issues to maintenance
- cooperates with maintenance staff in deep cleaning of the facility
- works cooperatively with other departments to accomplish goals
- achieves expected productivity standards
- monitors and tracks usage of supplies in a cost-effective manner
