Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience providing housekeeping and laundry services that meet or exceed quality standards
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
  • Ability to manage cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Compliance with drug testing and health screenings
  • Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination as mandated by law
  • Ability to participate in required training
  • If applicable, review and sign Driver job description for safety compliance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills
  • Good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work semi-independently
  • Ability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions

Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • Perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, and cleaning fixtures
  • Respect residents' privacy by knocking before entry
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
  • Transport supplies and manage trash receptacles and collection areas
  • Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry following approved procedures
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
  • Ensure compliance with safety and risk management protocols including proper storage of chemicals and clear hazard-free walkways
  • Participate in team engagement activities and attend regular meetings
  • Maintain compliance with required training and perform other duties as assigned
