Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience helpful but not required
- Must be physically fit to perform duties
- Availability to work full 28-week season
- Ability to work extended hours daily
- No consumption of alcohol while working
- Must pass background and drug screening
- Willingness to comply with company grooming policies
- Ability to interact politely and professionally with guests and crew
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking
- Pass a pre-employment drug test including screening for marijuana and controlled substances
- Comply with grooming standards regarding tattoos and piercings
- Maintain a positive attitude and composure under pressure
- Willingness to fully participate in emergency and safety training and duties
- Commitment to providing safe and conscientious service to guests
Job Duties
- Create and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
- Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas on the ship
- Acknowledge guests by name and respond kindly to housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to company service standards
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
- Clean spills with appropriate equipment and report maintenance needs
- Collect and dispose of trash
- Properly clean upholstered furniture and lounge areas
- Build genuine relationships with guests and address housekeeping requests efficiently
- Assist with guest greeting during embarkation and special events such as afternoon tea, snacks, and cocktail parties
