Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or food service experience helpful
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
- ability to communicate clearly in English
- willingness to work flexible hours and part-time shifts
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- effective English communication with employees and residents
- general knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- ability to retain up to four orders at a time
- strong organization and time management skills
- basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for the community and individual resident apartments including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning entryways, common areas, dining rooms, hallways, patios, and resident apartments
- clean and defrost refrigerators as needed, check heat system filters, change beds and linens, ensure adequate linen supplies, turn mattresses with assistance, and empty waste baskets
- perform deep cleaning of apartments focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
- launder all linens using provided laundry facilities
- follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- greet residents and guests with a smile and serve beverages, cereals, and/or soups/salads from the serving cart
- take resident orders courteously, serve meals and desserts, return cart to kitchen, and assist with storage of perishable items
- deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
- bus and clear dishes from tables, reset for next meal following proper sanitizing procedures, vacuum carpets
- complete side work such as filling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, and cleaning coffeemaker
- perform other duties as needed or assigned
