Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
  • No consumption of alcohol allowed while on board
  • Must comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Must be able to participate in emergency and safety functions essential to ship operation
  • Temporary employment position not to exceed 28 weeks

Job Duties

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
  • Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
  • Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to service standards
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
  • Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
  • Carefully clean up spills and notify managers of necessary maintenance requests
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • Create genuine relationships with guests and cater to all housekeeping requests efficiently
  • Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events like afternoon tea and cocktail parties
