Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- prior equivalent work experience in housekeeping or environmental services is beneficial
- physical ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak, and hear
- lifting limited to 35 lbs for clinical staff and 50 lbs for non-clinical staff
- use of assisted-lift device or assistance when lifting over limits
- able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or related position is a plus
- knowledge of customer service
- understanding of trash removal and room cleaning processes
- ability to distinguish cleaning protocols for different types of areas
- physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs for clinical staff and 50 lbs for non-clinical staff
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks for patient and resident rooms
- nursing stations
- lounges
- restrooms
- offices
- clinic areas
- remove trash according to established protocols
- clean restrooms in public areas and patient rooms including showers
- perform various types of cleaning such as daily, discharge, terminal, and isolation cleaning
- maintain cleanliness of office spaces
