Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least eighteen years of age
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Willing and able to work long hours daily and for seven consecutive days weekly
  • Ability to perform moderate physical activities including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to pass federal pre-employment drug testing, including for marijuana and other controlled substances
  • Compliance with company grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Willingness to abstain from alcohol consumption while working
  • Commitment to temporary employment for up to 28 weeks

Job Qualifications

  • At least eighteen years of age
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Familiarity with hospitality service standards preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure

Job Duties

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests
  • Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
  • Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines' service standards
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
  • Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
  • Collecting and disposing of trash
  • Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • Creating genuine relationships with our guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
  • Performing additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and helping during special events including afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
