Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least eighteen years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Willing and able to work long hours daily and for seven consecutive days weekly
- Ability to perform moderate physical activities including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to pass federal pre-employment drug testing, including for marijuana and other controlled substances
- Compliance with company grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Willingness to abstain from alcohol consumption while working
- Commitment to temporary employment for up to 28 weeks
Job Qualifications
- At least eighteen years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Familiarity with hospitality service standards preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
Job Duties
- Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests
- Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines' service standards
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
- Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- Creating genuine relationships with our guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
- Performing additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and helping during special events including afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
