Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Willingness to provide excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
  • Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
  • General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
  • Ability to retain orders up to four at one time
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills

Job Duties

  • Provide general housekeeping for both the community and individual resident apartments including vacuuming and dusting
  • Clean main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments
  • Clean and defrost refrigerators as needed
  • Change bed linens and ensure adequate linen supplies
  • Perform deep cleaning of apartments paying special attention to carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
  • Launder all linens
  • Follow company sanitation and safety procedures
  • Greet residents and guests and serve beverages, cereals, soups, and salads
  • Review menus with residents and take meals and dessert orders
  • Assist with storage of perishable items and deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
  • Bus and clear tables after meals and reset tables following sanitation guidelines
  • Complete side work including replenishing sugar holders and creamers and cleaning coffee makers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
