Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in housekeeping or related hospitality roles beneficial
- Ability to work onboard a cruise ship for a temporary period of 28 weeks
- Must be able to live and work in close quarters with a diverse team
- Flexible to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Job Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and controlled substances
- Willingness to comply with grooming standards limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Strong commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction
Job Duties
- Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
- Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to service standards
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
- Carefully clean up spills with appropriate equipment and notify managers of maintenance requests
- Collect and dispose of trash
- Properly clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- Create genuine relationships with guests and efficiently cater to all housekeeping requests
- Assist with guest greeting upon embarkation and support special events including afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
