Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or related hospitality roles beneficial
  • Ability to work onboard a cruise ship for a temporary period of 28 weeks
  • Must be able to live and work in close quarters with a diverse team
  • Flexible to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week
  • Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and controlled substances
  • Willingness to comply with grooming standards limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
  • Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
  • Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to service standards
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
  • Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
  • Carefully clean up spills with appropriate equipment and notify managers of maintenance requests
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • Create genuine relationships with guests and efficiently cater to all housekeeping requests
  • Assist with guest greeting upon embarkation and support special events including afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
