Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of six months experience in professional floor care or machinery operation
  • ability to speak, read, and understand English
  • demonstration of English language proficiency
  • willingness to work evening to night shifts
  • physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift equipment
  • reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent experience
  • minimum of six months experience providing professional floor care or operating machinery
  • ability to speak, read, and understand English
  • preferred certification from IICRC for Floor Care Technician and Carpet Care Technician
  • preferred two years of housekeeping experience in a medical or hospital setting
  • ability to follow specific instructions and perform repetitive physical activities

Job Duties

  • maintains hard surface and carpeted floor areas throughout the hospital and ancillary buildings
  • follows floor cleaning schedules and performs routine maintenance such as cleaning and burnishing
  • operates floor cleaning machinery safely and effectively
  • performs project cleaning activities including steam cleaning, deep cleanings, and post-construction cleaning
  • ensures compliance with hospital cleanliness and safety standards
  • assists in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • collaborates with environmental services team to support overall hospital sanitation goals
