Job Requirements
- High school diploma and/or one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to laugh and have fun while working hard
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to use hands, sit, stand, walk, and handle equipment
- Occasional travel to different locations may be required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three years of related experience and/or training preferred
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to operate cleaning and laundry machinery
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Job Duties
- Clean all areas as assigned according to departmental standards, process, and procedures
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas as directed, following proper cleaning techniques
- Make independent decisions and follow instructions
- Deal tactfully with associates, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Follow written and oral instructions concerning mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
- Relate information concerning a resident's condition
- Use supplies economically and prudently and report supply and equipment needs to supervisor
- Operate buffers, extraction equipment, vacuums, and commercial laundry equipment
- Perform additional duties as assigned or needed by Housekeeping Lead
