Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education diploma (ged)
- ability to operate basic environmental service equipment
- prior experience in cleaning or environmental services preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow safety protocols and regulations
- capable of working variable shifts including every other weekend
- ability to manage multiple tasks and work interruptions
- willingness to work in a healthcare environment

- ability to interpret data and instructions in various forms such as written oral diagram or schedule

Job Duties
- maintain cleanliness and safety of assigned areas including patient rooms offices and hallways
- perform cleaning transport equipment handling room set-up trash removal and linen handling duties
- distribute supplies to departments and maintain stock levels
- adhere to local state and federal regulations codes policies and procedures to ensure sanitization and safety
- operate environmental services equipment including floor cleaners buffers vacuums washers and dryers
- communicate effectively with supervisors peers patients and hospital staff
- prioritize assignments and work independently or as part of a team
