Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Able to provide housekeeping and laundry services meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Ability to respect residents privacy
  • Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and frequent interruptions
  • Willingness to participate in required health screenings and drug tests

  • Ability to follow all community procedures and guidelines
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and frequent interruptions

Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, polishing, and spot cleaning
  • Knock on residents doors and public restrooms before entering to respect privacy
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
  • Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
  • Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles and collection areas clean
  • Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved procedures
  • Inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
  • Practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests and feedback
  • Review and document relevant information on Daily Log regarding residents
  • Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
  • Keep hazards like cords and equipment out of the way and comply with fire codes
  • Follow occupational health and safety regulations and adhere to safety rules
  • Use personal protective equipment and comply with infection control protocols
  • Participate as a team member, attend meetings, and commit to team goals
  • Maintain compliance with required training and perform other duties as assigned
