Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior experience in housekeeping and laundry services
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Ability to adhere to safety and infection control protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
  • Must be able to work 2pm to 8pm part-time shift

Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas meeting Sunrise quality standards
  • Perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, sanitizing bathrooms, and polishing surfaces
  • Knock on resident and public restroom doors before entering and respect privacy
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
  • Transport supplies including clean and soiled linens to appropriate areas
  • Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a sanitary manner
  • Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and inspecting linens
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
  • Practice positive resident relations by responding to requests and communicating feedback
  • Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored securely and safety hazards are managed according to regulations
  • Participate as a team member in training, meetings, and engagement activities
  • Maintain compliance with all required training and safety procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
