Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 plus pounds
  • Must have valid drivers license and proof of insurance if driving is required
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines
  • Physically capable of performing job duties
  • Availability to work shifts including weekends
  • Must adhere to hotel uniform and appearance standards

Job Qualifications

  • Must be physically fit and able to bend, stoop, and lift
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Experience working with industrial laundry equipment, cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Knowledgeable about guest service and daily hotel operations
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to handle emergency procedures

Job Duties

  • Pick-up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
  • Proceed to the laundry area to pick-up assigned cart and necessary supplies
  • Avoid making excessive noise in guest room areas
  • Prioritize cleaning check-out rooms first unless there is a special request
  • Report all rooms listed as do not disturb to superior for approval
  • Change sheets in every room daily unless specified otherwise
  • Clean rooms according to established procedures
  • Return cart to linen room at end of shift
  • Carry out all reasonable requests by management
  • Be flexible in work schedule
  • Report to work on time in proper and clean uniform with name tag
  • Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, new procedures and events
  • Understand guest service scores and participate in achieving hotel goals
  • Handle all duties according to hotel policies and internal rules
  • Know emergency procedures and act accordingly
  • Report unusual occurrences or requests to the manager
  • Assist fellow associates to improve daily hotel operations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Must have a valid drivers license, proof of insurance and pass as approved driver if applicable
