Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and attention to detail
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow instructions and hotel policies
  • physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks
  • flexibility to work shifts
  • must have valid driver’s license proof of insurance and pass as approved driver if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning services preferred
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • understanding of guest service principles
  • knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
  • attention to detail
  • physical ability to perform cleaning duties

Job Duties

  • Pick-up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
  • sign out and in all keys at the start and end of shifts
  • pick up assigned laundry cart and supplies from supervisor
  • minimize noise in guest room areas to avoid disturbing guests
  • prioritize cleaning check-out rooms unless special request is made
  • report all rooms marked Do Not Disturb to superior for approval
  • change sheets in every room daily unless specified otherwise
  • observe all Do Not Disturb signs while cleaning
  • clean rooms according to established procedures and return cart at end of shift
  • follow all reasonable management requests
  • be flexible with work schedule
  • report to work on time wearing proper clean uniform including name tag
  • stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, new procedures and events
  • understand guest service scores and guest comments
  • adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and standards
  • be familiar with emergency procedures and act accordingly
  • report unusual occurrences or requests to manager
  • assist fellow associates when possible
  • perform all other assigned duties
  • hold valid driver’s license proof of insurance and pass as approved driver if applicable
