Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- at least one year of housekeeping experience
- ability to work majority of the day performing physical tasks such as walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and kneeling
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- knowledge of floor and carpet care equipment
- ability to operate heavy machinery and university vehicles
- valid state-issued driver’s license preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- minimum one year housekeeping experience
- knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, chemicals, and equipment
- ability to operate floor and carpet care equipment including refinishing, scrubbing, polishing, and extraction
- experience with heavy machinery such as BobCat, forklift, snow blowers, and plows
- ability to operate university vehicles
- physical ability to walk, bend, twist, push, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
- valid state-issued driver’s license preferred
- respirator fit testing may be required
Job Duties
- Clean restrooms daily, disinfect basins, urinals, and toilet bowls, sweep and mop floors
- replenish dispensers and report damages
- remove trash and recycle
- vacuum, mop, wax, and buff floors periodically
- dust office furniture, vents, corridors, and staircases
- perform snow removal using shovels and power equipment
- set up tables and chairs for events
- move furniture as required
- operate motor vehicle to transport garbage
- perform other assigned duties
