Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of insurance
  • Pass as approved driver if applicable
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Punctuality
  • Proper and clean uniform including name tag
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to follow hotel policies and procedures
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
  • Customer service orientation
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and products
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Pick-up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
  • Sign out and sign in all keys at the start and end of your shift in the key control log
  • Proceed to laundry area to pick-up assigned cart and necessary supplies from supervisor
  • Be careful not to make excessive noise in guest room areas
  • Prioritize cleaning check-out rooms unless special request is made
  • Report all rooms listed as Do Not Disturb to superior for approval
  • Change sheets in every room daily unless specified by guest or brand program
  • Clean rooms according to established procedures and return cart to linen room at shift end
  • Carry out all reasonable requests by management
  • Be flexible in work schedule
  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform including name tag
  • Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, changes, and new procedures
  • Be aware of guest service scores and understand guest comments and needs
  • Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules and standards
  • Know emergency procedures and how to act on them
  • Report unusual occurrences or requests to manager
  • Assist fellow associates to improve daily operations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Have valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and pass as approved driver if applicable
