Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Capacity to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for residents
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Job Qualifications
- Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
- Ability to follow safety protocols and proper use of cleaning equipment
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks including lifting and bending
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
Job Duties
- Cleans and polishes furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating and cooling units in residents' rooms and community living and recreational areas as instructed
- Cleans, washes, sanitizes and polishes bathroom fixtures ensuring removal of all water marks
- Cleans floors including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting while properly setting up safety signs
- Cleans carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting as instructed
- Cleans walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing as instructed
- Removes dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using appropriate cleaning/disinfecting solutions
- Cleans hallways as necessary or instructed
- Disposes of waste/trash into proper containers and re-lines trash receptacles with plastic liners
