Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification
- Previous work experience
- Ability to follow established guidelines and protocols
- Flexibility to work varied schedules
- Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Adherence to infection prevention and control standards
- Understanding of cultural diversity and willingness to provide compassionate care
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification
- Some college preferred
- Maintains education and development appropriate for position
- Previous work experience
- One to three months related experience and/or training preferred
Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of hospital areas including patient rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways
- Wash windows, walls, floors, beds, furniture upon patient discharge
- Apply clean linen on disinfected patient beds
- Utilize appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
- Use and maintain equipment properly
- Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
- Replenish supplies
- Report any furniture, fixtures, building, equipment repairs required to supervisor
- Follow all infection prevention and control practices including handwashing, standard and isolation precautions
- Maintain set quality standards when performing job duties
- Complete work assignments in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as required
