Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a similar housekeeping role
- ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- willingness to work flexible hours including some holidays and additional shifts
- ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
- reliable and punctual
- basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and proper equipment usage
- ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- physically capable of performing cleaning duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- clean all resident apartments, common areas, and offices of the property to assure that the building is clean at all times
- perform sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting floors
- vacuum, shampoo, deodorize, and disinfect carpets
- wash, wipe, dust, spot clean, disinfect, and deodorize walls and ceilings
- remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using proper cleaning solutions
- discard waste and trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles
- complete resident and community laundry as assigned
- report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Maintenance Director or Executive Director
- maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, and attractive manner
- use protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious materials and chemicals
- follow established cleaning schedules and safety protocols
- communicate any observed or suspected resident health changes to a supervisor immediately
- support community marketing efforts through positive and friendly interaction
- maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
