Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
- ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and safety protocols
- capability to lift and carry supplies as needed

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding Sunrise's quality standards
- perform cleaning duties including sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, wet mopping, spot cleaning, and vacuuming floors, rugs, carpets, and runners
- clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize furniture, dust desk and floor lamps, and polish glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills
- knock on resident's doors before entering and respect their privacy
- maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
- collect trash and maintain trash receptacles and collection areas in a clean and sanitary manner
- collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- sort, wash, and dry linens according to approved procedures
- fold, count, and stack linens
- inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
- maintain commercial laundry area in clean and sanitary condition
- assist care managers and department coordinators with resident care when requested
- respond promptly to resident requests and provide positive resident relations
- document and note resident physical and behavioral changes in the Daily Log
- ensure safe storage of cleaning chemicals
- remove hazards and keep work areas compliant with fire codes
- promote and adhere to occupational health and safety requirements
- use personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures
- comply with infection control techniques and policies
- participate as a team member and contribute to team goals
- demonstrate the Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- commit to the Principles of Service
- engage in community programs and attend meetings
- complete all required training and perform other duties as assigned
