Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must have a valid drivers license and proof of insurance if driving is required
  • Willingness to adhere to all hotel rules and regulations
  • Ability to work standing for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • Must wear proper uniform and name tag during shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Physically fit with the ability to bend, stoop and lift
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Experience or ability to work with industrial laundry and cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow hotel policies and procedures
  • Team player with a guest service mindset

Job Duties

  • Pick-up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
  • Proceed to the laundry area to pick-up assigned cart and necessary supplies
  • Avoid making excessive noise in guest room areas
  • Prioritize cleaning check-out rooms first unless otherwise requested
  • Report all rooms listed as do not disturb for approval
  • Change sheets in every room daily unless specified otherwise by guest or brand policy
  • Clean rooms according to established procedures
  • Return cart to linen room at end of shift
  • Carry out all reasonable requests by management
  • Be flexible regarding work schedule
  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform including name tag
  • Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations and updates
  • Be aware of current guest service scores and participate in achieving goals
  • Handle duties according to hotel policies and standards
  • Know and act upon emergency procedures
  • Report unusual occurrences or requests to manager
  • Assist fellow associates to improve daily operations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Must have valid drivers license and proof of insurance if applicable
