Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of cultural competency
- Ability to comply with mandated reporting laws
- Valid work authorization
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Experience in housekeeping or related field
- Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Understanding of Title 22 regulations or similar compliance requirements
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and report safety concerns
- Basic teaching skills for instructing residents
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Provide services to all residents without discrimination
- Abide by principles of good housekeeping and sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness of resident quarters, common areas, recreation rooms, storage areas and staff offices
- Perform laundry services as needed
- Clean facility daily
- Maintain equipment in good working order
- Ensure housekeeping equipment and supplies are ordered as needed
- Follow and perform the Housekeeper Duties Checklist
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with Title 22 and all applicable regulations
- Teach interested residents basic housekeeping and laundry skills
- Provide support to and assist staff
- Report any dangerous conditions observed including medications or weapons in rooms or dangerous behaviors demonstrated by a resident
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Report any suspected abuse of dependent adults and elders to appropriate authorities
