Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to work full-time including weekends and holidays
- understanding of infection control procedures
- ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
- must pass criminal background check
- U.S. citizenship or lawful authorization to work
Job Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
- knowledge of infection control in a nursing home environment is a plus
- commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care
- ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- effective communication skills
- basic physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common spaces
- disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with infection control and facility protocols
- collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash, biohazard materials, and recyclables
- replenish cleaning supplies, paper products, and personal protective equipment as needed
- follow established cleaning schedules and special cleaning requests
- use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery safely and correctly
- follow all OSHA, CDC, and facility infection control guidelines
- assist with terminal cleaning of rooms after resident discharge or transfer
