Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • ability to work full-time including weekends and holidays
  • understanding of infection control procedures
  • ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • must pass criminal background check
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful authorization to work

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
  • knowledge of infection control in a nursing home environment is a plus
  • commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care
  • ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
  • effective communication skills
  • basic physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
  • flexibility to work weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common spaces
  • disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with infection control and facility protocols
  • collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash, biohazard materials, and recyclables
  • replenish cleaning supplies, paper products, and personal protective equipment as needed
  • follow established cleaning schedules and special cleaning requests
  • use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery safely and correctly
  • follow all OSHA, CDC, and facility infection control guidelines
  • assist with terminal cleaning of rooms after resident discharge or transfer
