Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Ability to follow written, oral, diagram, and schedule instructions
- Ability to communicate with team members, supervisors, patients, and hospital personnel
- Ability to prioritize assignments and adhere to standardized policies and procedures
- Capability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work variable shifts including day, evening, and night
- Availability to work every other weekend
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment and proper cleaning procedures
- Ability to operate environmental service equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team
- Experience working in an environment with interruptions and multiple simultaneous tasks
- Ability to identify and resolve routine problems using established solutions
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with peers and hospital staff
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, and hallways
- Transport supplies and equipment as needed
- Handle and operate environmental service equipment, including floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, and dryers
- Remove trash and manage linen handling duties
- Set up rooms for patient care and other hospital functions
- Distribute supplies to departments and maintain inventory stock levels
- Adhere to local, state, and federal sanitization and safety regulations while performing duties
