Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is a plus
  • ability to understand and follow instructions
  • physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting bending and standing for extended periods
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to work cooperatively with diverse team members and residents

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • ability to read write and comprehend English
  • ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • knowledge of cleaning protocols infection control fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required training will be provided
  • compassionate and empathetic nature
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting vacuuming and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
  • ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms kitchens and common areas
  • dispose of trash and waste
  • monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
  • collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
  • respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff
  • operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines vacuums etc
