Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding Sunrise quality standards
- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, spot cleaning, vacuuming rugs and carpets
- Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize and hand shampoo furniture and other surfaces
- Knock on residents' doors before entering to respect privacy
- Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- Transport and manage clean and soiled linen supplies
- Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and inspect linens following approved laundry procedures
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- Practice positive resident relations by responding to resident requests and documenting observations
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored securely
- Keep cords, carts, and equipment out of the way and comply with fire codes
- Follow safety procedures including use of PPE and infection control techniques
- Participate in team meetings and training
- Commit to team goals and uphold Team Member Credo
- Perform other duties as assigned
