Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Related experience 0-1 year preferred
- Ability to operate floor machines and buffers
- Ability to move furniture and equipment
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 35 lbs with assistance
- Ability to follow established cleaning and safety procedures
- No patient care required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply them safely
- Working knowledge of various cleaning tools such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
- Ability to follow infection control guidelines
- Good physical stamina and motor skills
Job Duties
- Perform cleaning duties in alignment with organization and infection control guidelines
- Complete waste stream removal
- Clean and service assigned areas according to established procedures
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around Medical Center departments
- Operate assigned equipment (floor machines, buffers)
- Participate in a minimum of eight unit or department meetings annually
- Maintain assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times
