Job Requirements
- 1+ years previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work
- background check and fingerprint clearance required
- knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in residential or commercial cleaning
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively
- attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning and organizing spaces
- commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive attitude
- ability to reach, talk, hear, crouch, stretch, twist
- stamina to stand and walk for extended periods while performing cleaning tasks
- capability to lift and carry cleaning supplies, equipment, and trash bags weighing up to 15lbs
- ability to bend, stop, kneel, and reach to clean floors, surfaces, and low-lying areas
- proficiency in performing manual tasks such as making beds, folding linens, and handling cleaning tools
- knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, and tools
- awareness of exposure risks to hazardous chemicals, infections, waste, blood and body fluids, diseases, and conditions
- required vision including close, distance, peripheral, and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces, following established cleaning protocols, schedules, and standards
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and fixtures, using appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants, and replenish supplies as needed
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, including windowsills, ledges, and baseboards, using dusters, cloths, and vacuum cleaners, to remove dust, dirt, and debris
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstery, and sweep and mop hard surface floors, using vacuum cleaners, brooms, and mops to remove dirt, stains, and allergens
- Change bed linens and make beds, ensuring cleanliness, comfort, and proper placement of sheets, blankets, and pillows, in resident rooms and common areas
- Empty trash and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas, following infection control and waste management protocols
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, handrails, and elevator buttons, to prevent the spread of germs and infectious diseases
