Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • additional work experience or trade school acceptable in lieu of diploma
  • prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • experience in hospital setting desirable
  • able to walk and stand for extended periods
  • able to bend, stoop and reach with or without assistance
  • must have hearing acuity to hear communications
  • able to communicate in English orally and written
  • able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, 10 lbs constantly
  • able to work extended shifts in emergency situations
  • willing to use personal protective equipment during at-risk procedures

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • experience in a hospital setting desirable
  • ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
  • sufficient visual acuity with or without correction
  • ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment
  • able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally

Job Duties

  • perform cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting of hospital, clinic, Home Health, and EMS areas
  • ensure facilities are clean and safe for patients, employees, guests and visitors
  • comply with MCHD and CMS standards
  • maintain high level of customer service by practicing AIDET
  • follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
  • monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues
  • support infection control efforts through thorough sanitation practices
