Job Duties
- maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality assurance programs
- dusts furniture, woodwork, and equipment
- mops floors and polishes fixtures in all areas as needed
- wet mops rooms, halls, stairways, and public areas
- operates housekeeping mechanical equipment
- moves furniture pertaining to cleaning procedures
- buffs, strips, waxes and polishes floors
- removes waste and soiled linens according to proper procedure
- performs cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepares room for next occupant following isolation procedures in isolation rooms
- participates in educational programs and in-service meetings
