Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- prior work experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, sitting, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 35 lbs for clinical areas and up to 50 lbs for non-clinical areas
- ability to use assisted-lift devices or seek assistance for lifting heavier objects
- good communication skills
- ability to follow cleaning and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- prior equivalent work experience in housekeeping, environmental services or related position is a plus
- customer service skills
- knowledge of cleaning procedures specific to healthcare settings
- ability to follow protocols for infection control
- familiarity with cleaning different types of rooms and restrooms
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks for patient and resident rooms
- nursing stations
- lounges
- restrooms
- offices
- clinic areas
- any other areas assigned by the Environmental Services Department
- adhere to trash removal process
- execute room cleaning process including daily, discharge, terminal, and isolation cleaning
- clean restrooms in public areas and patient rooms including showers
- apply office cleaning experience
- maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
