Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in housekeeping and laundry services
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and frequent interruptions
  • Possess written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision
  • Must comply with safety and infection control protocols
  • Must be able to respect resident privacy
  • Must complete and pass drug screening
  • Must participate in health-related testing as required
  • Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination as mandated by law
  • Able to drive a Sunrise vehicle if applicable and comply with related safety requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
  • Positive interpersonal skills for effective communication
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work semi-independently and follow community procedures
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Willingness to participate in required training and compliance programs

Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • Perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming floors and carpets, and cleaning fixtures
  • Respect residents' privacy by knocking before entering rooms and public restrooms
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
  • Transport and handle clean and soiled linens, collect trash, and maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
  • Assist care managers and department coordinators with resident care upon request
  • Practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests
  • Comply with safety regulations including proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Participate in team engagement activities and required trainings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
