Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to operate vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaning machines
  • basic understanding of infection control procedures
  • ability to follow safety guidelines and facility protocols
  • physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and bending
  • good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • reliable attendance
  • flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • ability to operate housekeeping equipment
  • knowledge of infection control standards
  • good communication skills
  • reliability and strong work ethic

Job Duties

  • maintain cleanliness within the facility including resident/patient rooms public and resident restrooms and shower and bathing areas by following policies/procedures and infection control guidelines
  • complete resident discharges and prepare rooms for next admission
  • ensure all areas are properly stocked with items such as soap paper towels and toilet paper
  • operate and care for all housekeeping equipment including vacuums housekeeping carts carpet cleaning machines etc
  • comply with safety and sanitation policies at all times
  • report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
  • collaborate with other staff to ensure a clean and safe environment
