Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to perform physical activities including walking, standing, climbing stairs or ladders, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and grasping tools
  • Visual and auditory ability to perform inspections and communications
  • Physical capability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate computer and office equipment
  • Willingness to work onsite with exposure to outdoor elements and potentially hazardous areas

  • Physical ability to occasionally lift or carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Computer proficiency including keyboard and mouse operation

Job Duties

  • Perform regular custodial duties around the property and maintain the common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and removing trash
  • Complete grounds work as directed by Maintenance Manager and/or Community Manager, including picking up trash, cleaning dumpster areas, trash rooms and trash chutes, blowing the parking area and sidewalks, removing debris, power washing
  • Thoroughly clean breezeways by removing cobwebs, bugs in lights, mopping floors, power washing, and wiping down doors and handrails
  • Collaborate effectively with maintenance team members, other departments, and external contractors to ensure seamless property maintenance, fostering teamwork and cooperation
  • Assess property safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing resident well-being
  • Keep property in top-notch condition, including maintaining the cleanliness of the grounds, delivering notices to apartments, and performing tasks like interior and exterior painting
