Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling
- Capability to follow safety procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and bending
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends
- Ability to retain multiple orders simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Effective communication in English with employees and residents
- General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- Ability to retain orders up to four at one time
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for the community and resident apartments including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios
- Clean and defrost refrigerators, check heat system filters, change bed linens, manage linen supplies, turn mattresses with assistance, empty waste baskets
- Perform deep cleaning of apartments focusing on carpets, plants, windows, light fixtures
- Launder linens using provided laundry facilities
- Follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- Greet residents and guests, serve beverages, cereals, soups, and salads from service cart
- Take resident meal orders, serve meals and desserts
- Return service cart to kitchen, assist with storage of perishable items, deliver trays as needed
- Bus and clear dishes, reset tables with proper sanitizing procedures, vacuum carpets
- Complete side work including replenishing sugar holders, creamers, cleaning coffee maker
- Perform other duties as assigned
