Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services according to Sunrise’s quality standards
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to follow safety procedures and infection control techniques
- Ability to maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to transport linen and supplies to appropriate areas
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple priorities
- Willingness to participate in required training and team activities
- Successful completion of drug testing and other pre-employment evaluations
- Compliance with vaccination requirements where applicable
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding Sunrise quality standards
- Clean resident suites, bathrooms, common areas and offices including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, polishing fixtures and furniture
- Respect residents' privacy by knocking before entering rooms
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
- Collect and remove trash and maintain trash receptacles
- Collect, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
- Inspect linens for wear and follow procedures for damaged items
- Maintain commercial laundry in clean and sanitary condition
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- Respond to resident requests and document resident information
- Ensure the safe storage and use of cleaning chemicals
- Comply with safety procedures, infection control techniques, and risk management policies
- Participate in team meetings, training, and engagement programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
