Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read and write the English language
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Some housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the work day
  • Ability to speak and write English in an understandable manner
  • Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress
  • Possess sight and hearing senses or adequate prosthetics
  • Function independently with flexibility and integrity
  • Meet general health requirements as per facility policies
  • Ability to push, pull, move and/or lift between 20 to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to assist in emergency evacuations

Job Duties

  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure facility cleanliness
  • Comply with federal, state, and local standards and regulations
  • Follow directions from Executive Director, Administrator, or Director of Housekeeping
  • Maintain safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff
  • Assist in emergency evacuation procedures as necessary
  • Collaborate effectively with residents, family members, and coworkers
  • Operate cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently
