Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to handle cleaning equipment and supplies safely
- desire to work with seniors
- ability to respect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality
- capability to follow safety and infection control procedures
- ability to work semi-independently and as part of a team
- comply with community policies and procedures
- undergo and pass required health screenings including drug tests
- willingness to participate in required local vaccinations or health mandates

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding Sunrise's quality standards
- perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing various surfaces
- knock on resident's doors before entering and respect their privacy
- maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- transport supplies including linens to appropriate storage and collection areas
- collect, remove, and maintain trash receptacles in a clean and sanitary manner
- collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
- inspect linens for wear and tear and manage damaged linens according to community standards
- assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests
- ensure cleaning chemicals are stored securely and hazards are properly managed to comply with safety regulations
- participate in team meetings, training, and community engagement programs
- maintain compliance with assigned training and local regulatory requirements
- perform other duties as assigned
